Job Maker Hiring Credit
“Job Maker Hiring Credit scheme was presented by the Australian Government for business to employ additional young job seekers aged 16- 35 years.”
The scheme will provide eligible employers with access to up to $200 per week for each registered additional employee aged between 16 to 29 years and up to $100 per week for every eligible additional employee aged 30 to 35 years.

· Australian government agency, or Local governing body.
· Wholly owned by Australian government agency or local governing body. · In liquidation or provisional liquidation · Disqualified due to termination of employment or work hours deduction of existing employees with a dominant purpose to receive or increase JobMaker Hiring Credit Scheme payments · Individual who has entered bankruptcy · Sovereign Entity |
Eligible employers are allowed to:
- Register from 6 December 2020.
- Claim payments from 1 February 2021
- Claim payments for eligible employees
Claiming JobKeeper and JobMaker Hiring Credit at the same time is prohibited.
EMPLOYEE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
An employee must declare that he/she meet the eligibility criteria listed to complete the notice:
- Aged between 16 to 35 years old
- Having at least 28 consecutive days within 84 days prior starting employment of receiving JobSeeker Payment.
- Have not filled in any other employer a Job Maker Hiring Credit Scheme; or have stopped from prior nominated scheme.
When all the eligibility criteria for employers and employees are fulfilled, new employees will receive the Job Maker Hiring Credit until 6 October 2021 for up to 12 months from the date of their start of employment. Claims may be made every 3 months from 1 February 2021.
